Hello! My name is Remy, and I am an artist from Sacramento, California.
I am currently a first-year studio arts major at Loyola Marymount University, located in Los Angeles. My passion for art grew when I took Advanced Placement art in high school.
We focus closely on our own self-image to the point where our mental picture becomes altered from reality. My work is guided by the concept of self-dysmorphia and disillusionment, and how these can affect one's external image. I intend to magnify/enhance this feeling through the use of deformity, contrasting color, and exaggerated proportions.
I enjoy experimenting with various media and refining my techniques. I typically work with gouache, acrylic, and carving rubber.
